About this item this item is a 12 bay Supermicro disk enclosure. Multiple enclosures can be added to multiple or singular raid controller cards on the same storage server to create large pools of disks on the cheap.

This item allows the user to install sas or satay disks in the enclosure and interface via sas cable to an external raid controller card on another nas server in your rack. These enclosures were tested with sea gate sas 1tb drives loaded in the drive sleds, connected to a Supermicro nas server with a ls raid controller card mega raid sas 9280 8e.

Every system is tested in a working nas environment prior to shipping.

The chassis drive sleds, back plane, front panel, and interior cables are all in good operable condition. Research wisely before purchase. You can also connect this unit to a server with its own sas expander connected to a raid controller.

Some drive sleds are dirty, some cleaner and can of air should do the trick. The chassis comes with two redundant 800 watt power supplies.

This unit comes with a brand new jbod power board and brand new sas expander interfaced with the back plane. This item is perfect for a lab environment or a business unit that requires cheap data storage quickly.

All gear is tested with working sas drives and connected to a nas server to verify drive connectivity on each slot.
