It came pre-installed inside a brand new Storsimple 7020a cloud disk array. And since many of these disk arrays are no longer produced, this controller would be good to have on hand in case a failure. The Storsimple was never plugged in or used I pulled it directly out of shipping box and did anything with. This is a brand new Storsimple disk array application controller model AP-SSB-2-1-SSI new, never been used.

Please do the research to make sure part number matches. Again, this is brand new, which incredibly hard to find. There are 2 of these available.
